Trip to the beach – Scheveningen
Hey dear beach goers,
When planning a vacation, sometimes difficult decisions come up: Beach vacation or city trip? But why not both? In Amsterdam, both are possible.
If you want to learn more about the city of Amsterdam, our Historical City Tour is highly recommended. On this city tour, you will be guided through the city by a tour guide who will bring the history of Amsterdam to life through his stories and take you on a journey that goes back to the Middle Ages.
But what many people don’t know is that besides the many beautiful canals, there is even a beach near Amsterdam called Zandvoort aan Zee.
The trip to the beach from Amsterdam Centraal station to Zandvoort aan Zee station takes about half an hour by train. Zandvoort is especially popular on hot summer days, as the famous beach stretches out in endless expanses and has something for everyone.
If you prefer to relax a bit, you can sit back in a beach café or beach bar and enjoy a delicious drink and something to eat, or lie down and sunbathe on the beach.
For the more active tourists, there is a variety of water sports, such as kite surfing, surfing, boat tours or swimming.
There is also another beautiful beach in the city of The Hague. The trip from Amsterdam Centraal to Scheveningen takes about an hour.
