Duration: 2 hours, please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the departure of the tour. Amsterdam Light Festival Public Boat Tour tickets: If you wish to also purchase tickets for the canal cruise, you will be prompted to add this option when checking out.

In the dark winter months of December 2025 and January 2026, Amsterdam will be transformed into a beautiful open-air light art museum for the 14th edition of the Amsterdam Light Festival. For this edition, the festival has chosen the theme Legacy – both large and small. Because legacy is not only about grand historical or climatic events whose impact endures over time, but also about the continuation of family traditions, shared memories, and everyday habits.

Enjoy these light artworks with an Amsterdam Light Festival canal cruise. From the Amsterdam canals, you have a first-class view of the light art while you can relax and look around. The Amsterdam Light Festival route is designed in such a way that you can see all the artworks in the canals and on the quay. Once you book, only the canal cruise is not refundable.

The Amsterdam Light Festival 2025–2026 has come to an end.

The festival will return next winter, when our Winter Wonder Walk and optional Amsterdam Light Festival Canal Cruise will be available again.

Dès les premières minutes, on a senti qu’elle connaissait son sujet sur le bout des doigts. Elle nous a parlé d’Anne Frank avec un vrai souci du détail, en prenant le temps d’expliquer chaque élément, chaque contexte, chaque nuance. Elle répondait à toutes nos questions sans jamais se presser, avec une grande sensibilité et beaucoup de respect pour l’histoire qu’elle racontait. Grâce à elle, on a compris des choses qu’on n’aurait jamais vues seuls. Une visite marquante, rendue encore plus forte par la qualité de son accompagnement.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had an excellent walking tour of the Jordaan area/specifically the area around the Anne Frank house. Our guide was Giovanni and he was outstanding! He’s very knowledgeable about the area and the history of the events here during that time. He also has a large spiral notebook with laminated photos of the areas we visited to compare then and now. It was rainy at times, but we found covered areas and still saw and learned many, many interesting things. We had tickets to the Anne Frank house after our walking tour and it was even more meaningful because of Giovanni’s explanations/photos of the house and where the Franks were hidden.
