Imagine strolling through the fairy-tale city of Amsterdam in wintertime, surrounded by the magical glow of the Amsterdam Light Festival, while discovering the highlights of the historic city center.

During this 2-hour walking tour, your local guide will give you an unforgettable, authentic Amsterdam winter experience.

You’ll see everything the city has to offer – from the charming canals and the Royal Palace to the Jewish neighborhood and much more!

This seasonal tour combines Amsterdam’s rich history with the magical atmosphere of the festival.

Duration: 2 hours

Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the departure of the tour.

Amsterdam Light Festival Canal Cruise tickets: If you wish to also purchase tickets for the canal cruise, you will be prompted to add this option when checking out.

Please meet your guide at Dam Square, in front of the Royal Palace, near the entrance.

Cancellation policy

There are no refunds on cancellations made within 24 hours before the tour starts. If you booked through a booking platform, you must reschedule directly with them.

The Amsterdam Light Festival 2025–2026 has come to an end.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this winter to experience Amsterdam illuminated by spectacular light artworks.

The festival will return next winter, when our Winter Wonder Walk and optional Amsterdam Light Festival Canal Cruise will be available again.

In the meantime, you are very welcome to explore Amsterdam with one of our other guided tours or canal cruises.

 Verified Great Tour! Gio was excellent! Very theatrical and brought the story of Anne Frank to life. We visited the historical buildings of interest, the memorials to those that perished, the markers of the places where they lived, and viewed the changes in the city as a result of the war.
