Every winter, artists from around the world create light installations along Amsterdam’s canals and streets for the Amsterdam Light Festival. On this walking tour, your local guide takes you past the festival artworks and tells you about the city’s history, landmarks and culture.
The tour starts with a hot chocolate with cream and a free 360 Tours winter hat to keep you warm. From Nieuwmarkt square, you’ll walk alongside the Red Light District to Dam Square, and on to the Jordaan area, where you’ll pass the Anne Frank House.
Along the way, you’ll also enjoy a stroopwafel tasting. These thin waffles with a caramel-syrup filling are one of the best-known Dutch treats.
Choose the 1-hour walk for a short introduction to the festival, or the 2-hour walk to see more artworks and more of the city.

Duration: 1 or 2 hours, depending on the option you choose. Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour starts.

Meet your guide at Nieuwmarkt 4, in front of Restaurant-Café In de Waag. You’ll recognize your guide by the orange umbrella.
