Meet your guide 15 minutes before the start of the 120 minute tour, outside the Cobra Cafe at Museumplein, by the parking/toilet entrance of the cafe. Your guide will be holding an orange umbrella so it is easy to identify!

Reserved entry tickets to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum are included in your tour, and the guide will have your tickets ready for you.

The tour begins with the Rijksmuseum where you’ll explore the highlights of the Dutch Golden Age, exploring the art and objects that defined the new Dutch Republic. Be amazed by the illusionism of the still-life paintings and interiors paintings, be inspired by the scale of Rembrandt’s ‘The Nightwatch’, and see the dollhouse of every young child’s dreams. Along the way, your professional guide will explain the social and historical context that gave rise to one of the biggest middle class art markets the world had ever seen.

After your pause for lunch, our expert local guide will make Amsterdam history come alive through stories as you stroll through the beautiful cobble stone streets of medieval & Golden Age Amsterdam, admire the architecture of its buildings and learn about Amsterdam’s long history of commerce and trade.

Places to see: Spiegelkwartier Art District, The Mint Tower, The Amstel River, Bloemenmarkt, Dutch sweets along the way, The Begijnhof, The Royal Palace, The New Church, the most important canals, bridges and locks, the smallest house in the city amond other sights. Ending the tour at the Dam square where you may wonder around or go shopping.

By the time this experience is over, you will have a thorough overview of Amsterdam, including its most celebrated works of art and iconic sights.
