The Rembrandt House Museum is a historic house and art museum in Amsterdam, showcasing the works of Painter Rembrandt. Rembrandt Museum is both extremely historic and fascinating. Living here from the year 1639 to 1656, Rembrandt worked on many of his most famous pieces, which are now shown in the house from his etchings to his contemporary paintings.

Despite his exemplary talent as a painter, Rembrandt in fact went bankrupt in the year 1656, which is the reason for his departing from the house. Due to this bankruptcy, all of his belongings went on auction, which therefore enable the reconstructions of all his belongings back to the house now on display.

Frequented by thousands of visitors each year, guests of Rembrandt Museum are able to gain an inside perspective of his working space that he also called home. Reconstructed in recent years, the house is in fantastic condition where guests are able to enjoy several rooms all filled with his works and objects put out on display as a remembrance of his talents and skills in the artist community.
