Covid-19 Update – 05.02.2021
We are back with an update on the Covid-19 measures in Amsterdam, since a lot has changed in the last few days. The government recently published a reopening plan to release the lockdown bit by bit. On the 28th of April they started with the first steps. In this blog, we explain these new changes:
First, of course, the mask requirement and distance rules in public indoor spaces and transport remain. Outside, you should still only be with members of your household or one additional person. The following businesses remain closed: Museums, theatres, cinemas, casinos, theme parks, zoos, gyms, spas, swimming pools, saunas, hotel room services and sex establishments. Also, most big events or festivals are postponed to later in this year.
The curfew has been removed since April 28. Restaurants, cafés and bars are partly allowed to reopen with the following restrictions: Guests are now allowed to sit on the terraces from 12:00 to 18:00; No more than 2 people or more than one household are allowed to sit at a table; Guests are only allowed to go inside to pay or to use the toilet. Delivery and pick-up services will continue.
From now on not only supermarkets, drugstores and pharmacies are open as usual, but also all other shops, such as clothes-shops.
