Covid-19 Update – 04.06.2021
Dear Amsterdam Fans,
The weather is getting better and better, summer is just around the corner and with the sun, there are also some changes to the covid rules in Amsterdam.
We can tell you with relief that the incidence of the Netherlands is steadily decreasing and more and more relaxations are being enforced. Most recently, the average incidence (per 100,000 inhabitants) was 115.3 (as of 03.06.2021). This also means that entry restrictions are being reset and relaxed back to the level of a risk area.
We will briefly summarize the upcoming changes that will apply from 05 June here:
- Restaurants and cafés (indoors and outdoors) 06:00-22:00 hrs.
- Order and pick-up service possible
- Maximum of 4 people from the same household (not only in catering establishments, but also on the street)
- Businesses that open again:
- Zoos, nature and amusement parks
- Cinemas and theatres
- Indoor and outdoor sports
- Swimming pools
Furthermore, all shops are open. However, there is a maximum number of people allowed inside. Therefore, expect queues in front of popular shops.
As travel restrictions are constantly changing and vary according to the country and its incidence, it is best to check the official coronavirus info website of the Dutch government. There you will also find a list of countries to and from which you can travel without restrictions. Furthermore, you will always need a negative PCR test and it is recommended to go into quarantine upon arrival.
